Steve Madison enters his 8th year as Head Golf Professional, and 13th year of service to the Golf Club of Avon. Steve leads the golf operations team in providing the membership with a first class golf experience which includes many engaging programs and services.

Steve is a PGA Certified Professional, and has garnered significant recognition as a top industry professional. He is a three-time Connecticut Section PGA Award Winner, including Assistant Professional of the Year (2013), Professional Development Award (2015), and Merchandiser of the Year - Private (2020). Steve takes an active leadership role in the Connecticut Section PGA, serving on the Board of Directors from 2017-2019, and continuing his service through work on various committees.

Steve brings a wealth of additional knowledge from his prior experience working at several fine clubs including the Jupiter Island Club, Newport Country Club and Shelter Harbor Golf Club. Steve holds PGA Specialty Certifications in both Instruction and Golf Operations. He graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Business Management in 2000. Steve lives in Avon with his wife and two children.
